RCHI co-sponsors People Matter, Sept 13th 2014 symposium. This one-day global symposium will commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of psychologist Marc Fried’s seminal publication “Grieving for a Lost Home”.

This panel co-sponsored by RCHI brings together activists, scholars and planners working on the front lines of the struggle to maintain and strengthen communities affected by gentrification and displacement in the greater Boston area.

The MIT Resilient Cities Housing Initiative (RCHI) convened its inaugural symposium in Fall 2013 to identify and highlight some of the most innovative examples of planning projects and policies that address urban housing problems.

During the Fall 2013 semester, RCHI organized and hosted its inaugural lecture series to address the theme of “Successful Struggles: Planning for Resilient Urban Housing.
